The cattle drive down from the mountain pastures in Gerlos takes place on September 26, 2026, and has a long tradition.
From 9:00 a.m., the main street transforms into a vibrant culinary and experiential mile with over 30 regional exhibitors. Here you'll find handcrafted treasures, authentic regional products, and a wealth of culinary highlights: from traditional Melchermuas (a type of Swiss pasta) and Zillertal doughnuts to authentic Swiss raclette, there's something for everyone. Enjoy magnificently adorned alpine cattle, a spectacular whip-cracking group, the Taxenbach driving club with their impressive Noriker horses, and much more.
